The number one player on the latest World Ranking have achieved a number one seeding at the World Championships 2023.
This years World Championships in Copenhagen is getting closer, and players will soon know who to face on their fight for a World Championship medal.
Friday the seedings for the World Championships was published, and beneath you will find the top seeds in each category:
- Men’s Singles: Viktor Axelsen (Denmark)
- Women’s Singles: An Se Young (Korea)
- Men’s Doubles: Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Ardianto (Indonesia)
- Women’s Doubles: Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan (China)
- Mixed Doubles: Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong (China)
The host nation Denmark has three seedings in the single’s categories and two in the double’s categories.
It is the 16 highest ranked players on the latest World Ranking (and selected for WC), who have received a seeding. In total there are 64 players in both Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles, while there are 46 players in the three double categories.
The draw for the World Championships will be held on August 10th at 15.00 Kuala Lumpur Time.
This years World Championships takes place at Royal Arena in Copenhagen from 21.- 27. August. It is the fifth time Denmark hosts the individual World Championships.
